95% of the paperwork in the port of Guayaquil is digital

The port of Guayaquil is in sixth place among its Latin American counterparts, thanks to the tools that optimize times and cut spending on administrative procedures.
Yesterday, the authorities of the National Customs Service (Senae) and the Contecon operator presented the improvements in the Ecuapass system. One of them is that the declarations take ten minutes, avoiding surcharges and delays, said Director General of the Senae Mauro Andino.
Director of Continuous Improvement and Regulation Rubén Montesdeoca clarified that in matters of simplification of procedures, Ecuador is at the forefront in relation to other countries in the region. “We have shared experiences with other countries.” (I)
