According to the Al Arabiya news, the Egyptian president, Hosni Mubarak will address tonight to its people to answer to the thousands of protesters that have gathered in the Tahrir Square in the center of Cairo. The protesters demand the end of the 30 years regime.

Since 11:00 am the protestors gathered in the square claiming that they will not leave until Mubarak resigns. Several hours later a spokesman of the Al Yazira network assured that the president will address to them; however, Mubarak has no plans on resigning.

Currently Mubarak expressed how they coursing through difficult times, and that he has began a new government that would answer the demands of the youths and the people. There have been talks with several political forces to reform the policies and Constitution to restore the order and safety in the land.

The new reform would benefit all the people in Egypt. Mubarak is an army man and his first responsibility is to restore the order to the land and perform a peaceful transition, and that the transfer of responsibilities to the new leader elected by the people, be performed according to the new constitution. Mubarak will not postulate as president on the next election. He promised the people that on the next months a new constitution would be studied to fulfill the needs of the people. At the same time they will work on the issues 76 and 77, and also urged the government to accelerate the elections with the hopes of creating a political, social, and economic progress.

Mubarak asked the police to respect the rights of the people and that they must chase the criminals and the corrupt that created chaos in the city. The president assured that Egypt would overcome these difficulties and emerge stronger while being careful and not to sacrifice their freedom.

However, the people of Egypt only want Mubarak leave his charge immediately. Claiming that if Mubarak had said the same thing eight days earlier the people would have accepted his proposal, but now is too late. The people on the square scream the following comments as a reaction to the statements made by the president. “Mr. Mubarak if you want to die in Egypt, we will die in this square until you leave,” “go away, go away, revolution until death,” the civilians in the Tahrir Square plan to sleep there today. The government of Mubarak is supposed to end in September.
