Referendum Process will be monitored by International Observers
International organizations and 45 observers from 16 countries will arrive tomorrow to Ecuador, to monitor the referendum process, to be held this Sunday, May 7 as reported by the VP of the National Electoral Council (CNE), Carlos Cortez.
Organizations such as the Capel (Centre for Electoral Promotion and Assistance), Ceel (Council of Electoral Experts Latin America), CAN and the Andean Parliament will observe this process and EMB officials from Argentina, Bolivia, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Puerto Rico, Dominican Republic, Uruguay, Venezuela.
Among the special guests there are included Chilean Senator, Isabel Allende and former ministers Yerko Ljubetic and Marigen Hornkohl, both from Chile too, which will meet with media and leaders of government and opposition.
Delegates will have to visit the polling stations (JRV), monitor the outcome of the examinations. They will analyze the transmission system that has the CNE and if necessary, they may denounce any irregularity to the electoral authorities.
