Carlos Villacis complaint about “unfriendly treatment” by FVE

Ecuadorian Football Federation (FEF) vice-president Carlos Villacis, announced this morning that the Executive Committee discussed about the treatment received by the Venezuelan Football Federation.

Villacis reported that during the stay of the Ecuadorian delegation in this country for the World Cup qualifier rounds for Brazil 2014, the TRI was forbidden to do the recognition of the field yard at the Jose Antonio Anzoategui Stadium. Also the poor lighting at the time the players attempt to do some training.

Among those mishaps, minutes before the match started, during the opening ceremony,  the organizers played The mexican anthem instead of the ecuadorian.

With his hand on his chest, the players  waited to the National Anthem of Ecuador, when suddenly they realized the error. They put down their hands down and stood firm, but surprised.

Such actions have been described as “unfriendly treatment” by the leaders. However, puting down a claim before  FIFA about their treatment against the delegation is posible.

On the other hand, Luis Chiriboga, President of the FEF, reported ESPN yesterday, The possibility to raise a complaint before the Conmebol. Chiriboga also said that Venezuelan Federation alleged it was a mistake and offered an apology.
