Human Development Bonus Would Increase from 35 to 50 Dollars

Human Development Bonus is approved by National Assembly

Starting January of 2013 will the human development bonus increases its amount from $ 35 to $ 50 dollars, quantity that will be financed with taxes from the bank utilities.

Yesterday the National Assembly gathered the partial veto of the Ecuadorian president Rafael Correa for the Social Expense Distribution Bill, which received 81 votes on favour, 21 abstained from voting and 2 were against it.

The government made just one modification to the project in the area of the work of Ministry of Economic and Social Inclusion in the border zone about the distribution of the bonus, which must prioritize the elderly and people with special needs.

According to Cesar Robalino, president of the Private Bank Association (ABPE), the approval of the Banking Act provides a reduction in the credit facility to deliver productive loans, which means a negative effect in the national economic growth.
