Nebot does not accept rectification from Interagua

Despite being in trouble with the Municipality, Interagua is fully functional with its users.

Mayor Jaime Nebot did not accept the correction sent on last November 30 by Interagua managing director, Oscar Garcia, about the investment plan of the contract of potable water and sanitary and storm sewers service in the city.

Nebot said the letter was returned to Interagua, because it is a matter that rests in hands of the Public Municipal Water and Sewer Company of Guayaquil (Emapag for its Spanish acronym).

“As background, my personal opinion is that it is no longer valid to rectify because of words, but because of facts, which must reflect the full performance of the concession contract, to ensure the legitimate interests of service users in Guayaquil “says Nebot in response to the concessionaire.

The mayor explained that Interagua intended to amend what it called a “misunderstanding” raised since June, when it sent a version of the investment plan telling that it would only run $ 22’807, 861,26 instead of the $ 30’458, 333, corresponded for 2012. (MZ)
