A Lookout for the Malecon Simon Bolivar

The possibility of raising a giant wheel, with features similar to the famous lookout of London Eye (of 135 meters), is being discussed and analyzed, because its construction could take place next year in the same place that started the edification of the Gran Casino de Guayaquil, in the Malecon Simon Bolivar.

On the subject, Mayor Jaime Nebot, told the newspaper Expreso, that the infrastructure was already initiated and paralyzed for five years on the site to be used. “The platform is going to end and the center of fun and food goes, but what kind of entertainment will have is what we are deciding, that depends on the budget and a series of studies that we are doing,” he says.

Now, municipal technical and foundation Malecon 2000 “shape the ideas“, and among them is the lookout, which would become a great tourist attraction, as the London Wheel is since it offers a panoramic view of 360°, makes a journey that takes 30 minutes and has the capacity to accommodate about 800 passengers.
