Thousands of Venezuelans accompany Hugo Chavez on his funeral
People from all social classes began a tour through the streets of Caracas, next to the coffin of President Hugo Chavez, at the start of the homage organized by the Government.
The mortal remains of Venezuelan President were moved this morning from the hospital where he died yesterday to the military Academy military in Caracas, accompanied by thousands of heartbroken supporters who took the streets to give him the last farewell.
The coffin covered with the tricolor flag of Venezuela and adorned with flowers began his journey through the Venezuelan capital on a grey car flanked by members of the presidential honor guard to the rhythm of a military band
The body of Chavez will be veiled in the Military Academy until Friday, until the State funeral which is supposed to be attended by dozens of presidents.
