Los Angeles proclaims April 30th as the Alejandro Sanz’s Day

Councillor for the City of Los Angeles, Jan Perry, proclaimed April 30th as the Day of Alejandro Sanz in an official ceremony that was attended by the Spanish artist prior to start his tour in the States to promote his last álbum “La música no se toca”.

“He brings his beautiful music to our city and we will welcome him with open arms. I’m a big fan, like so many others in Los Angeles. His music transcends language barriers,” said Perry.

The singer, originally from Madrid, was excited and quoted his mother, who died just over a year.

“Its an honor to be part of this city’s musical history. This special recognition is really touching because if my mother was still here, she would’ve been so proud of me. This is the most beautiful part of the music industry (…) On top of that, I have my own day in Los Angeles, like St. Patrick.”
