Sports Minister rejects criticism of Pierina Correa

The Sports Minister Jose Francisco Cevallos, dismissed the comments of the President of the Sports Federation of Guayas (Fedeguayas), Pierina Correa and said he does not worry about her criticism because there are people who support him.

In the primary election in Milagro of Alianza Pais, on Saturday September 7, Pierina Correa said that Cevallos “is the worst and greatest enemy to the Guayas Province.” However, his brother and leader of the regime, Rafael Correa, described these comments as ridiculous.

Cevallos invited Pierina Correa to show the evidence that accuse him of being the worst enemy of the province and stressed that Fedeguayas receives annually $ 12 million at the same time he questioned the management of these resources, believing that with that budget “the Guayas sport should be positioned differently. But this has been less due to a poor administration.”

Cevallos said that the other dignity that would interest Pierina Correa, is the presidency of the Ecuadorian Olympic Committee (COE). “That would be kind of complicated, because it is proving that Guayas could not move forward, the worse the Olympic Committee.”

Cevallos said that about a possible run for mayor of Milagro he has no aspiration of it, but that is decided by the President.
