Here comes the Reed in Playas

The Reed Classic Guayas Resort will begin on January 28th in General Villamil (Playas) and one can already see international surfers arriving there to become familiar with the waves where they will measure their skills.

Local and provincial authorities hold meetings to coordinate the development of the international event, which generates great expectations among tourists and residents.

The event is organized by the firm Sumbawa. His deputy, Jorge Andant coordinates the safety of athletes in relation to roads, hotels, beach, sea and utilities.

Andant informed that that between 150 and 200 athletes will participate, around 500 people will be involved in the program development and 5,000 in the competition area. The arrival of about 50,000 tourists is expected.
