Mexican President Enrique Peña Nieto received yesterday at the National Palace to his Peruvian counterpart Ollanta Humala, with whom he agreed agreed to work jointly in deploying efforts to combat drug trafficking, diversion of chemical precursors, money “laundering” and all operations of transnational organized crime.

After private meetings, the signature of ten agreements was materialized, among which two on security and crime fighting are highlighted.

It highlights the agreements of “strategic partnership,” which creates the “High Level Security Group,” the “Legal-Technical Cooperation,” between the Public Ministries, and the exchange of technological information in public safety.

The Strategic Partnership Agreement raises the level of relationship between the two countries, Pena Nieto said, and pointed out they discussed about expanding cooperation in education and training of personnel of the Armed Forces of Mexico and Peru.
