Financial institutions increase earnings in a 17.37% until September 2014

The private financial institutions in Ecuador obtained between January and September of 2014 earnings of $ 232.4 million, an increase of 17.37% compared to the same months in 2013 ($ 198 million), according to the Superintendency of Banks and Insurance (SBS for its Spanish acronym) .

In the analyzed period, entities such as Pichincha (22.59%), Guayaquil (16.40%), Pacífico (14.01%) and Internacional (9.85%) showed the highest earnings of $ 52.5 million, $ 38.1 million, $ 32.5 million and $ 22.8 million, respectively. The 4 entities concentrate the 62.85% of the net profits of the financial system.

In the report of the SBS, it is also indicated that the Comercial de Manabí in the analyzed period recorded $ 32,620 in earnings, Del Bank $ 10,070 and Finca had accumulated losses of $ 3.5 million.
