Posted On 20 Jan 2015
Ramiro Rivadeneira, Vice president of the Transparency and Social Control, and holder of the Ombudsman, announced on January 19that the entity is working on the development of a bill that regulates the use of public data.
Rivadeneira assured that there is a “regulatory vacuum” that allows, for example, that call centers contact mobile numbers of citizens without they had previously provided data.
He also said that they seek to propose an approval so all state institutions have on their websites the information relating to the transparency law, like the websites of the Executive Branch.
