Emelec will inaugurate its stadium in 2016

Nassib Neme, president of Club Sport Emelec, announced that the remodeling works of the George Capwell Stadium (home of the Blue Team), are being conducted from February. Emelec has played in the stadium in the framework of the national championship, although the works in the new San Martin tribune have not stopped.

According to the administration of the club, the stadium will close its doors from June 7, one day after the last match (Ecuador vs Panama), in order to initiate the expansion works. The team will travel to Chile the 8th of that month to participate in the Copa America. March 2016 is the date set by the president of the Club for the opening of the stadium.
