French giant vessel will dock in Guayaquil

At the end of the month, the Ganges vessel, of the French company CMA-CGM, will dock in the port of Guayaquil.
The vessel is 48.8 meters wide and 300 meters high and the capacity to transport 9,962 containers. Its maximum depth is 14.5 meters, so it will dock in Guayaquil with less charge.
Javier Moreira, CEO of CMA-CGM Ecuador, said that in order to obtain the approval of the security matrix, they worked in three almost simultaneous steps: submission of the application to the authority so that they can discuss between the different actors (terminals, pilots, tugs, authorities), the feasibility of transiting the access channel and dock at the various terminals of the city.
