Notification replaces health registration

Processed foods, cosmetics, hygiene products and other products no longer require health registration.

This due to the validity -from December- of the Law on Public-Private Partnerships which amended this requirement by a Health Notification.

And companies that have a certificate of good manufacturing practices (GMP), are exempted from obtaining the operation license and the Health Notification.

This was reported yesterday by the Agency for Regulation and Control Health Surveillance (ARCSA) and the National Association of Manufacturers of Foods and Beverages (Anfab).

“We are giving a 50% importance to inspection of plants, versus the inspection that was done before only to hangers …” said Giovanni Gando, director of ARCSA. (I)
