Electronic money, on the agenda of the new government

The future of electronic money will be known on May 24, once Lenin Moreno takes over the Presidency. On Thursday, May 18, the President-elect held a meeting with representatives of private banks and addressed the issue of electronic money.

At the meeting, Moreno offered that, once officially president, he will inform the country about the future of the payment system that generates debate and concern in the financial sector and among citizens.
