Labor Minister: ‘It is not necessary to return to fixed-term contracts’

Short interview with Labor Minister Raúl Clemente Ledesma Huerta. Ledesma has developed his career in legal counseling, agricultural business administration and has held different positions in the public sector.
– What policies will you apply to improve the quality of employment?
-We have important projects and the main one is linked to the subject of young employees. The challenge is to generate 250,000 jobs a year.
-How?
-The Ministry of Labor has to give all the tools to boost the productive sector, which does not mean any kind of prejudice in terms of the rights already achieved.
“What are you exactly thinking?”
-The previous government has already established incentives for the recruitment of young people and the incorporation of interns in companies. In the adaptability of contracts. We will propose to the productive sectors contract models that adapt to the dynamism of each one of the activities. We will work in conjunction with the private sector.
