Ecuadornews:
For Cecibel Noriega, who has resided abroad for 15 years, the certificate will give her greater job opportunities. “My husband returned in 2010 because his mother became ill, and he applied to be a teacher in the Ministry of Education, and he got the job. I came back in 2014, and now I´m looking for work, and I know that my status as a returned migrant can grant me benefits such as two points in the merits competitions, in addition to government programs, that´s why I decided to apply for the certificate,” she said.
This would also represent an opportunity for migrants to contribute to the development of the country, according to María Rosa Morán, who returned to Ecuador in 2012: “Some professionals worked abroad and they can contribute with fresh ideas and are already back in the country, and this certificate is an incentive.”
