Investigation against Mariano Zambrano was filed

The president of the Provincial Court of Manabí, Paulina Sabando, decided to accept the request to file the investigation for the crime of perjury and false testimony against the current prefect of Manabí, Mariano Zambrano.

The decision in this case came once the Attorney General (e), Ruth Palacios, knew the file requested by the prosecutor of Manabí, Arturo García. The complaint was filed in 2017 by Francisco Bravo, Leonardo Viteri and Marcelo Farfán.

The complainants claimed that on the date of registration of the candidacy for prefect of Zambrano, in October 2014, the Marzam company, of which the defendant was a majority shareholder and that he was in force with a contract with the State, was not part of his declaration sworn, so that for them “he lacked the truth under oath”.
