Correa admits change of address; Prosecution does not know where to send you version order notification

The ex-president Rafael Correa changed his address and the consular service of Ecuador in Belgium does not know where to contact him to send him a request for a version from the Prosecutor’s Office. In the letter, addressed to the director of International Judicial Assistance and Movilidad Humana, Miguel Sandro Naranjo, the official says that upon arrival at the registered address of the former president in Leuven, Belgium, he was informed that he no longer lives in the sector.

“At the time of stamping, we noticed that none of the stamps on this building consisted of the surname Correa Delgado or the surname of his spouse Malherbe,” the official said in the diplomatic note.

“I decided to ring the first apartment of the Englebienne family, without any response, then I rang to the apartment of the Filinchuk Roudakova family and, one lady responded saying that Mr. Rafael Correa no longer lived in this address for several months and that he did not know his address current, “he added.

In the notification document delivered by the official, it is detailed that the document was issued on June 21 at 08:57, Belgium time.

The former president referred to the matter in his Twitter account. “How mediocre the Ecuadorian press will be, which is ‘news’ that has changed my address!” He wrote. “The Prosecutor’s Office knows this: to quote me – for the umpteenth time – to give a version they must apply according to Belgian law, they can not do what they want here,” he said.
