Moreno calls Maduro “ass” and blames him for violence in protests in Ecuador

Moreno insisted that he suspects that the financing of the violent actions during the protests between October 3 and 13, came from the Venezuelan government.

“The joy of (Diosdado) Cabello (number two of Venezuelan Chavismo), the joy of the ass that governs Venezuela (Maduro), the joy of (Rafael) Correa; it was definitely because the hands had gotten in here, ”Moreno said.

The Ecuadorian president said he suspected the apparent satisfaction of Venezuelan leaders for the popular uprising in Ecuador.

And he reiterated his criticism against the Ecuadorian ex-president, Correa (2007-2017), his most bitter political rival and to whom he has directed his main suspicions for the violent acts of the demonstrations.

Some accusations that the Ecuadorian Government has been repeating for weeks and to which Maduro responded by calling the Ecuadorian leader “stupid”, also disregarding anti-government and anti-IMF demonstrations that have occurred in Ecuador and Chile.

Moreno refuted the Venezuelan. “I do not doubt, under any circumstances, that for aggressiveness, to hire organized gangs of criminals who were asked to stick (beat), assault, burn Quito, there was strange money,” he said.

Moreno stressed that one of the most important responsibilities of the Executive is the generation of employment and that is why it has invited trade unions to dialogue.

A responsible government has to solve the problem of unemployment by calling meetings to dialogue with all sectors, added the ruler.

“Dialogue, not deaf; dialogue, not that we talk about what we talk we are going to a strike (protest). That is not the way to do things, ”Moreno said.

He also said that his Government has taken economic measures to try to improve the situation in the country, affected by a very large “fiscal gap” that was inherited from the previous Correa administration.

For that reason, the president justified, he has turned to funding sources such as the International Monetary Fund (IMF), which last March signed a credit agreement for $ 4.2 billion.

“Before (during the Correa period) when credits were made with the Chinese, nobody knew the terms, now everything is transparent because one of the objectives of sending the Economic Law (…) is to achieve transparency, justice and the optimization of resources, ”said the ruler.

On the manifestations and acts of violence that occurred during the demonstrations, he said that after these protests “the Homeland is broken, because the feeling of the cities is to have been violated” by the attitude of the protesters, most of the indigenous movement.

“This is a democratic regime in which it is discussed, asked, heard, heard,” said Moreno, who has invited different sectors of society to the table.
