“Although the Ecuadorian Forward Adelante Party is ready to participate in the elections … it seems that the shadow of corruption, fraud, and drug trafficking continue to envelop the State of Ecuador,” he said.

That is why Noboa indicated that “he will wait for the moment when the Ecuadorian people will decide the elections.”

“I was already elected President”

The businessman has been a candidate for the Presidency of Ecuador five times. In 1998, he ran for the Ecuadorian Roldosista Party (PRE).

Then, in 2002, 2006, 2009 and 2013 for his extinct Institutional Renewal Party of National Action (Prian) that later re-registered as Adelante Ecuatoriano Adelante.
