The U.S. president, Barack Obama on Thursday will propose to Congress a package of measures within its his expected plan to boost job creation which will cost 300,000 million dollars, as reported by CNN quoting sources of the Democratic Party.
The amount of the proposal, which will be announced by Obama in a speech to Congress to be broadcast, will be offset by budget cuts in order to try to convince Republicans who are unresponsive to the approval of new spending.
Hours before it became public the cost of the package, the White House spokesman, Jay Carney, had asserted that the U.S. government “needs to do things that have a direct short term impact to grow the economy and create jobs. The president will make proposals to create just that.”
