A bill for prepaid medicine
Before the complains of people about the failure of the promised services companies and centers of prepaid health provide, in 2014 a bill for prepaid medicine was submitted.
16 sections provide the rights of users, the obligations of companies and sanctions. “The provision of services like these do not meet the social and individual objectives. Affiliates are defenseless by the arbitrariness of the system,” says the initial explanation of Legislator of Alianza PAIS Pamela Falconi, author of the proposal.
The proposal penalizes minor infringements of those companies with fines from 30 to 100 basic wages; and serious infractions with 500 basic wages, the dissolution of the company and a record in the prosecution. It also reduces the state spending, forcing these companies to comply with the provision of services. This will relieve the IESS and the Ministry of Public Health, states the bill.
