A new feed plant for the shrimp industry

Posted On 04 Jul 2017

Ecuadornews:

Through a statement, the Norwegian company Skretting announced yesterday it has launched plans to build a new state-of-the-art shrimp feed plant in Ecuador.
The company said that the infrastructure will be built in “carefully planned” phases – including the latest technological and environmental advances – that will gradually increase the shrimp feed production in Ecuador.

General Manager of Skretting Ecuador Carlos Miranda added that it will satisfy “the growing demand in Ecuador and Peru for ‘premium’ shrimp feed.” The amount of investment and the location of the plant are still unknown, however, the plant is expected to be operational in 2022. (I)
