Yesterday, at the Hotel Oro Verde of Guayaquil, the national convention of the Partido Roldosista Ecuatoriano (PRE) was held, in which the former president exiled in Panama, Abdala Bucaram Ortiz was appointed presidential candidate and Assemblywoman Dennys Cevallos Capurro, as his binomial for the elections of 2013.
During the convention the candidates for the National Assembly were also appointed, among them are Abdala Bucaram Pulley, Gabriela Pazmiño, Richard Barker, Claudia Campuzano, Andrea Macias, Fernando Vinces, Emilio Espinoza and others.
PRE leaders say they will register the binomial tomorrow morning, even though its presidential candidate is exiled, but the National Electoral Council (CNE for its Spanish acronym) warned that the application could not be done without the candidate’s precense. (MZ)
