Abdala Bucaram requests a hearing to close his causes
The defense of the former President of Ecuador, Abdala Bucaram, will present before the National Court of Justice (CNJ) a request for a hearing to bring two cases that will enable the filing of the causes for the alleged embezzlement (earmarked spending and school bag) against the former President self exiled in Panama for 16 years.
His son, Abdala Bucaram Pulley, current Assembly member for the Partido Roldosista Ecuatoriano (PRE), confirmed that two legal paths will be proposed during the hearing which consist of: ratify the annulment of the processes, as it was done to the former Vice President Alberto Dahik on April 24; or file them, since the causes already prescribed.
“Having recognized this Court that the trials of Dahik are null (…) There cannot be two different jurisprudence by the same court,” said Bucaram Pulley.
