According to Spanish media, Shakira will give birth today

Colombian singer Shakira and her boyfriend, Spanish soccer player Gerard Pique, are preparing for the upcoming birth of their first child, which name is still unknown.

Spanish media “La Razón” confirmed that the couple announced that their  son would be born on Monday in Barcelona’s Teknon Clinic, that’s why these last three weeks Shakira has resided in the Catalan city.

As reported by the Spanish newspaper Shakira chose carefully the entire team of specialists who will attend the birth, besides requiring that all professionals were women and sign a confidentiality agreement to not filter any details of both the process of pregnancy and childbirth. Her boyfriend, Pique supported all decisions of the artist, especially to allow his baby to be born in their homeland, same place where he and Shakira have made their home.

“My son will be born in Cataluña, is clear that he will be Catalan from birth,” said Pique who also mentioned in the same interview that still had doubts about how they would call the baby, but admitted that Biel (Gabriel in Catalan) was a name they both liked.
