Posted On 01 Dec 2014
The 55.6% of domestic workers in Guayaquil would be affiliated to Social Security, said a survey carried out by the Graduate School of Business Administration (ESPAE for its Spanish acronym) of the “Escuela Superior Politecnica del Litoral” (ESPOL for its Spanish acronym).
Sara Wong, professor from the ESPAE, said that 349 domestic workers were surveyed in different areas and sectors from January until the first week of March.
This would mean an increase of 19.5% compared to the results of the National Survey of Employment, Unemployment and Underemployment (ENEMDU for its Spanish acronym) of the National Institute of Statistics and Census (INEC for its Spanish acronym), held in 2012 in Guayaquil.
