Airlines Introduce Higher Prices in Ecuador
Posted On 10 Jan 2012
Following the removal of fuel subsidy, the Ecuadorian government officially introduced the new prices of airline tickets.Airlines raise an increase of between 15 and 20% on national routes, while flights to the Galapagos Islands have increased in 40%, the Aerogal company reports.
Price increases vary depending on the seat, class, time, date and destination. So if the traveler separates a ticket in advance, the cost is lower than the tickets bought from one day to another.
For example, if you want to travel from Quito to Guayaquil in LAN company on 30 January, the cost of the round trip ticket will be $ 72 as long as you set your return date for February 3. However, if you purchase a ticket for tomorrow the cost amounts to USD 105, as long as you set your return date for next Thursday.
