During the afternoon of last Wednesday, the regime leader, Rafael Correa, received the final details of the matrix of “critical points” of the Criminal Code by the block of Alianza PAIS (AP), which were polished again by the Justice Committee in the morning.

The final content contained between 10 and 12 critic knots, most of which are found in Book I, Of Violation, that defines crimes and the time penalty. Many were concerned about ruling the alleged reduction of 3 and 5 years for 1 to 3 years for death due to malpractice. If this reduction gets done it would be by the request of physicians.

The meeting with Correa was scheduled for 16:00 and was intended to “tune positions on issues that have been under discussion,” said Virgilio Hernandez, while adding “There are going to define positions and responds to the reality of country.”
