Alonso Wins the Malaysian Grand Prix
Spanish racer Fernando Alonso (Ferrari,) became champion for the third time in the Grand Prix of Malaycia.
Two-time world champion in F1, won the Sepang circuit with three different cars before a torrential rain. Alonso, who started in position eight, took the interruption of one hour, due to the intense rain.
“It’s a big surprise to win here because we were not being competitive, either in Australia or here. It was a chaotic race and an incredible result, I didn’t see anything.”
Meanwhile, Mexican racer Sergio Perez, 22 (Sauber), made history for his country achieving the second position after a career with almost no mistakes.
Lewis Hamilton obtained the third place, ahead of Australian Mark Webber (Red Bull) and Kimi Raikkonen (Lotus). The last point was for the German Michael Schumacher (Mercedes).
