It is not a secret that business success does not come from the overnight; everything is part of a long process filled with many unexpected situations and many intelligent decisions. This is also part of the history of the Association of Real Estate Brokers of Guayas (ACBIR), an institution that began opening its professional field in Ecuador from a first initiative raised by Ab. Alvaro Noboa.
Before the year 1977 brokers of Guayaquil used to work informally as part of their first steps in their profession. Just using their own contacts, relations, and improvising their habilities in the scenario they knew at that time they began to live their first experiences arranging transactions between buyers and sellers. However, every movement at that time was just part of their own intuition in business.
On August 31, 1977, knowledge of finance and local market of Alvaro Noboa allowed him to give a
clear picture of what would be a well organized group of local professionals in this field. Since then, brokers of Guayas dedicated all their time to growth the real estate business. The organization and plans shared by Noboa began a real estate project that was barely starting in the whole country.
Noboa realized that in order to create a strong working force they had to study. Soon the members of the Association began receiving courses to improve their skills. The real estate business would later be called real estates assessment since the new technologies brought all the necessary tools to know laws and regulations of financial institutions like the SRI among others.
Nowadays, ACBIR has found its way in the local market. The main function of the institution is to provide the best services to its associates regarding the real estate market and the services it provides. Among some of the activities performed by ACBIR associates there are the interviews given to several communication media to promote or benefit the real estate business.
To achieve their objectives of developing a strong real estate market with professional realtors, several courses have been established to its members. Such courses are available to all the members of ACBIR twice a year; its purpose is to provide the necessary tools to realtors in order to ensure the good quality of their professional services with a valid license and title. So far 21 realtors have joined as new members of this local professional team.
