In a letter published on social networks, Luis Raygada, Peru’s ambassador in Venezuela, announced this Wednesday his decision so that the Peruvian government can act without pressure under the bilateral relationship.
The letter shared through his Twitter account says: “My resignation is to enable our government to act without any political or media pressure” on ties to opposition and the government of Venezuela.
“I regret that my statements were misunderstood, given the idea of disrespect to the legislators of my country and dissonance to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs”, said the former official.
