Amendments to the Constitution are debated in the Assembly

This Wednesday November 26, starting from 10:00 the 11 legislators of the Bureau that processes the amendments to the Constitution meet to discuss the text that will be submitted to the plenary of the Assembly for the first debate.

During the processing, a round of interventions was initiated, in which 19 criteria were heard on issues related to the amendment. 12 of these interventions came from public officials.

Among the topics discussed are the indefinite reelection of authorities, the role the Armed Forces in internal security, the role of the Comptroller´s Office, the inclusion of public sector workers to LOSEP, limitations on referendums of citizens’ initiative and the establishment of communication as a public service.
