The singer Amy Winehouse died on July 23, 2011 at her home in London, by an accidental ethyl poisoning at 27 years of age. She was found dead in the neighborhood of Camden Town, north London.
Winner of five Grammys, Amy Winehouse was a singer revered by critics, who praised her poignant lyrical content and tone of voice, as well as her authenticity.
Her father Mitch Winehouse said he will spend the day with family and friends, who will first go to Amy’s house for Jewish prayers and to be with her fans and close friends, and then they would go to a party at Jazz After Dark, Amy’s “favorite jazz bar”.
On October 11, the first annual Amy Winehouse Inspiration Award Ceremony will be held in New York. MZ
