Amy Winehouse is paid tribute with a statue

In the London borough of Camden Town, home of British singer Amy Winehouse, a life size statue of her was unveiled, as a tribute for her birthday. The singer, who died three years ago, would have turned 31 years old.

Winehouse’s parents attended the tribute, showing visibly moved. The singer died after a long battle with drugs and alcohol. After her death, her family established a foundation to help young people suffering from addictions.
