An archbishop among three arrested by the Vatican bank case
This Friday was arrested an Italian bishop, an agent of the secret services in Italy and a financial intermediary, accused of fraud and corruption in the investigation on the alleged irregularities in the Institute for Works of Religion (IOR), known as the Vatican bank.
The arrests, operation carried out by the Guardia di Finanza, occurred after the preliminary investigations ordered by Judge Barbara Callari. Previously, the Vatican spokesman said the Pope Francis had named a commission to be devoted to investigate everything that happens in the Vatican Bank.
So far is unknow the details about the crimes against them, only that is an investigation arising from different inquiries that the Office of Rome remains open on the alleged irregularities in that state.
