An Asteroid Will Pass Nearby The Earth Tomorrow

Posted On 27 Jun 2011

Scientists say an asteroid the size of two buses will pass at 12,000 miles distance from Earth tomorrow morning (01:00 GMT), however, there is no threat risk.

The 2011 MD asteroid is too small to be seen with the human eye, it can only be seen with the help of powerful telescopes from South Africa, said Fred Watson, from the Australian Astronomical Observatory. (MS)
