Anabella Azín requests an audience to President Rafael Correa

This afternoon, Annabella Azín de Noboa and Juan Sebastián Noboa, wife and son of Ecuadorian businessman Alvaro Noboa, held a press conference where they announced a viable proposal to resolve the tax dispute between Banana Exporting Noboa and SRI.

“Our proposal is in benefit of the country and the workers of La Clementina ranch, who will keep their jobs and have all the benefits of the law,” she said, adding that there are still legal proceedings before the judicial system and also administrative ones  of the Internal Revenue Service  (SRI) that remain to be addressed and resolved.

Meanwhile, Juan Noboa requested the suspension of the auction of La Clementina ranch, scheduled for December 4th, 2013, until they are received by the president to present their proposal.
