Heavy winter season affects different countries

The harsh winter is felt in different parts of the world. In Italy, Pope Francis, wearing a heavy coat and white gloves, congratulated the “braves” who attended on Wednesday to his audience in St. Peter’s Square in Rome, despite the bitter cold.

In Russia, one of the coldest countries in the world, experienced 5°C below zero. While in Canada, intense cold have also been reported that reached -11° C below zero at night.

Also, the intense cold and a possible storm coming from the northeast, would affect the celebrations for Thanksgiving Day and the several programs of more than 43 million Americans who start the Christmas season.

In this country, several flights were delayed, even some were rescheduled and other were suspended due to high winds of 90 km/h recorded yesterday morning. The snow covered much of the west, causing dozens of accidents, mostly in highways.
