Andy Garcia will Direct a Film about Ernest Hemingway

Cuban American actor Andy Garcia will be the next director of the film based on the last ten years of life of memorable writer Ernest Hemingway, who died in 1961 in Idaho,USA.

Garcia confirmed that the actor Anthony Hopkins will assume the role of Hemingway and announced the possibility that Annette Bening portrays Hemingway’s wife, Mary Welsh. He also noted that he wants to play Gregorio Fuentes, Hemingway’s boat captain.

The actor and director said the film is still in the process of seeking funding and trying to find the perfect location for filming.
