Apple breaks sales record in 24 hours with the new iPhone
Apple received orders for more than four million units of the new iPhone in the first twenty four hours after its launch. The company did not specifywhich one of its two new multifunction phone models, the iPhone 6 or iPhone 6 Plus, was the most requested. “The demand for the new iPhone surpassed the available stock ,” the company said in a statement.
“It’s the largest number of pre-orders in the history of the iPhone,” it also highlighted.
The first customers will receive their phones on Friday, September 19, the same day that the iPhone 6 or iPhone 6 Plus will be sold from 08H00 in Apple stores in the United States, New Zeland and 18 other countries in Europe and the Middle East, selected by the firm.
The previous models (5S and 5C) surpassed the 9 million copies sold in the first three days. But analysts expect that this record will be passed this year due to ancient consumers who will seek to replace their old iPhones.
