The new  iPhone 5S was presented yesterday by the american computer manufacturer Apple and its director of marketing, Phil Schiller, said “is the most advanced Smartphone that the Company has launched”.

This Smartphone has a fingerprint sensor (Touch ID) that scans the subepidermal layer of skin to identify the user; It has a thinness of 170 Micron and  a resolution of 550 ppi.

Touch ID is included in the iPhone Home button, so the user can unlock the phone or authorize the purchase of content without entering a password.

With the new iPhone users will be able to take sharp photos, since it has a camera of 8 Megapixels which is formed by a set of lenses formed by five elements designed by the company and is more sensitive to low light conditions. In addition, the new 5S model can be used for 10 hours on 3G and up to 250 hours in Stand by, and also allows to listen to 40 hours of music.

On the other hand, the Association of telecommunications companies (Asetel) of the Ecuador requested the Minister of telecommunications, Jaime Guerrero, through a letter, to liberalise the importation of smartphones.

This requeste came after the resolution of the Committee of foreign trade (Comex), on August 9, on the allocation of an additional annual fee for smartphones, whose FOB value (excluding freight and fees) may not exceed the $220 per unit.
