Armed forces ask for airplanes, helicopters and vehicles

The armed forces call for the modernization of equipment and technology to effectively fulfill their job.
Luis Garzón, Head of the Joint Command of the Armed Forces, said there are several requests for the purchase of helicopters, three fighter jets and about 700 vehicles.
“We have made the approach that we need new and modern equipment, advanced technology that allows us to fulfill effectively and efficiently the assigned mission”, Garzón said.
These requirements, he said, are part of the National Plan of Integrated Security and the Constitution.
