Armed Forces will continue with the Project of the regime

The proposal made by the regime leader, Rafael Correa, of the Book IV of the Code of Public Safety will be done through the “appropriate channels,” said the chief of the Joint Command of the Armed Forces, Leonardo Barreiro.

The message came a week after the military leadership informed through their YouTube channel thei concern about the content of the project which is in the hands of the Assembly. Correa described the video as “a slip.”

Barreiro held that the socialization of the document will be performed inside the institution. Moreover, the Defence Minister, Maria Fernanda Espinosa, did not discuss details of the proposal that is ready for regime leader on the project. However she did confirm that a restructuring of the armed forces was planned for several months and that its objectives is the “better use of their resources.”
