Assange refused to accept Ecuadorian protocol and Internet keys

The founder of WikiLeaks, Julian Assange, has refused to accept the protocol that Ecuador has presented to regulate his living conditions at the embassy in London, including receiving the keys/passwords to use the Internet.
“Mr. Assange refused to receive the protocol, refused to receive the key to access the Internet,” assured Efe official sources, who argued that it is probably due to some advice from his defense lawyers and that, if he has not caught them , will be “surely because you do not need it”.
In that sense, they indicated that Assange, a refugee in that Embassy since 2012, has chosen a path of “irresponsibility” and that his defense is making a “manipulation” of the image of Ecuador.
“We are wanting to reestablish communications and the man has refused,” they insisted.
“We oppose the manipulation of the image of the country, that is what Mr. Assange’s defense aims to do”, and considered the plaintiffs’ argument as “irresponsible with a democratic State that has welcomed him”.
The relations between the Australian, nationalized Ecuadorian in December of 2017, and the Ecuadorian State entered today, after six years of asylum, in a confrontational dimension, as a result of the opening of the hearings in a constitutional protection action that they have presented your lawyers.
Led by former Spanish magistrate Baltasar Garzón, the defense demands that the Ecuadorian courts doesn’t impose the rules contained in a protocol drafted by the Foreign Ministry and that was made known to Assange on October 13.
This protocol, which establishes hygiene parameters -including his cat-, visits and access to the Internet, are “rules of coexistence that do not affect his rights”, the sources point out, and reject the defense’s argument that there is an element of one-sidedness.
“The man is in asylum in the Embassy of Ecuador. It is a public office. We do not have to agree on anything with Assange. He is there by his own will and (..) has to abide by the rules imposed by the country that has given asylum. It’s as simple as that! “They insisted.
They stressed that, with these rules, Ecuador “is not affecting any of their rights, absolutely none”, not even the access of their lawyers, who come to visit him with complete freedom.
On the hearings of the protection action itself, which today was suspended due to technical problems, the sources abounded that it is a “manipulation” of the defense, because “it is paradoxical that an action of protection against the State that protects it is filed.” (I)
