Assange sings to capture a seat in the Australian Senate
In order to obtain a seat in the Australian Senate, Julian Assange, filmed a parody within the premises of the Ecuadorian Embassy in London, and then presented it in a video of the Juice Rap News site.
Assange appears playing John Farnham song “You’re the voice” and wearing a blonde wig, also during the film, the political aspirant also parodies other candidates, as Prime Minister Kevin Rudd, the former Prime Minister Julia Gillard and conservative candidate Tony Abbott.
Rap News producers said in a statement that they took half a day and night to film the parody which counted with the collaboration of the staff of the Ecuadorian Embassy, who provided support by providing a space for the interview, as well as a green-screen and special lights for the effects in the background of the scene where Assange interprets the song.
Assange will run for parliamentary elections in Australia on September 7 with other six candidates of the political party WikiLeaks.
